How Growing Education Started

While in college, I was fortunate to experience an immersive, year-long student teaching program. It was a masterclass in the classroom realities: I learned hands-on classroom management, behavior plans, curriculum design, and everything in between. But when I stepped into my first official year of teaching, I quickly noticed a harsh reality not everyone received that same level of preparation and support.

With the highest teacher turnover rates occurring within the first three to five years of a career, it’s clear that a lack of support is driving amazing educators out of the field. That is exactly why Growing Education was born.

Our Vision

We are on a mission to help close the teacher shortage gap by building a robust foundation of support for educators entering and navigating the profession. Teaching is incredibly rewarding, but it can also feel heavy and overwhelming. We exist to ease that burden. Whether you are a first-year rookie finding your footing, an alternative-certification teacher who missed out on a traditional student-teaching experience, or a seasoned educator switching grade levels, we are here for you.
